Toxikon Corp. prepares for "boot camp" in Waltham

Laurence Lister won't have you doing push-ups or running a mile at 5 a.m. - he's not that kind of a drill instructor.

Lister serves as director of biocompatibility at Toxikon Corp. and is one of three keynote speakers at a "Clinical Affairs Boot Camp" session hosted by Mass. Medical Society.

The conference serves as a guide for medical device engineers and industry entrepreneurs who are trying to get their product onto the market.

Lister's presentation, called "Safety and Efficacy in Preclinical Studies," will include an introduction to biocompatibility with a focus on regulatory submissions. Additional presentation topics include a summary of preclinical and clinical study design and practices and an overview of biostatistics.

The conference will take place March 21 from 8-10:30 a.m. at 860 Winter Street in Waltham.

Online registration is available at www.massmedic.com. For more information, call Mass Medic at 617-414-1340.
