Toxikon to introduce their latest life science capabilities at Seattle toxicology event
Something's brewing in Seattle, and it isn't just espresso.
Toxikon Corporation, a Massuchusetts-based scientific research organization, plans to showcase their Genetox Screening Assay program at this year's Society of Toxicology (SOT) Annual Conference March 16-20.
Genetox Screening Assays are the latest tests encouraged by governing bodies, including the Food and Drug Administration, to determine at an early stage whether genotoxic compounds are present in pharmaceutical candidates.
The minimum investment of Genetox Screening Assays can achieve maximum results because multiple compounds can be screened all at once rather than individually, said Devaki Sadhu, Toxikon's genetox study director. Accordingly, these assays save drug manufacturers precious time, dollars and resources, he added.
The conference will be held at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center, where more than 6,200 scientists will gather for workshops, poster presentations and an awards ceremony to recognize those who have made outstanding scientific achievements.
Toxikon will be located at booth 2105, just steps away from the main pavilion entrance.
