Stephen Doherty, study director for chemistry services at Toxikon Corporation, will be one of several guest presenters at this year's Extractables and Leachables 2009 show in Pennsylvania.

His topic, "The Use of Extractable/Leachable Testing in Quality Control Programs: From Raw Materials to Final Product," will focus on testing considerations for single use systems, such as tubing, gaskets, containers, filters and closures.

 Dr. Doherty's analysis will include an overview of suggested analytical test methods, points of consideration in study design and case studies from extractables and leachables testing.

The conference will take place October 26 and 27 at the Radisson-Plaza Warwick in Philadelphia. The event is sponsored by Pharma Ed Resources.

Dr. Doherty's presentation will take place on Oct. 27 at 8:15 a.m.
