Selective and sensitive analytical methods for the quantitative evaluation of drugs and their metabolites are a critical component of a successful preclinical screening program.  Pharmacokinetic and toxicokinetic analyses are key to developing a pharmacological profile for the candidate compound.

Toxikon offers comprehensive capabilities for bioanalytical testing including method development and validation as well as sample preparation and data analysis.  Biological matrices, i.e. plasma, serum, urine, other fluids, and tissues, containing low to ultra-low levels of compounds or metabolites are analyzed using state-of-the-art instruments including ABI 4000 (Sciex 400) LC/MS/MS, ABI 4000 Q-Trap, LC/MS, GC/MS, and ICP/MS.  Services are available on a standalone basis or can be combined with appropriate in-vivo testing for comprehensive characterization of bioavailability of compounds and metabolites.
