Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics

The Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics division offers a full range of studies with applications to assist customers in the process of drug development, drug discovery, IND, phase I-III, and NDA submissions.

Pharmacokinetics (PK) is an essential part of understanding the pharmacologic profile of a compound.  PK studies provide valuable information for compound optimization and the selection of a lead compound(s) to advance for drug development. 

Toxikon provides services for both in-life and bioanalytical including data analysis for PK studies using the industry standard software, WinNonlin®.  Our experience includes:

Efficient study designs are available for exploratory studies utilizing 2 to 3 time points in rodents.  Complete PK profiles can also be performed using rodent and non-rodent species including non-human primates.  Toxikon offers flexibility in our studies and consultancy to provide you with the essential information needed for drug discovery and IND submissions.

Toxicokinetics studies are also available as part of toxicology evaluation and are designed to meet your requirements.  Metabolic profiling and chemical synthesis can also be included with PK studies.
