Along with veterinary medicine, our experts are versed in regulatory consulting, surgical and minimally invasive surgery, imaging, pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism, drug and device safety, pharmacology, and specialized histopathology and pathology. To advance the development of tomorrow’s life-saving drugs and medical devices, Toxikon offers advanced equipment for imaging, mobile fluoroscopy, complex image analysis, ultrasound, endoscopy, digital x-ray imaging, orthopedic equipment, ERG and EKG. Our fully equipped surgical suites include orthopedic equipment, ocular surgery capabilities, phacoemulsification, and instrumentation for hemodynamics, hemotology, instantaneous blood gas analysis, and anesthesia monitoring. Additionally, we have power injectors, electrocautery units, and full histopathology and histology capabilities.
Toxikon is a fully equipped facility accredited by the Association for the Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC). Our facilities also have Assurance with National Institutes of Health for federally-funded research. Our well-designed Bedford facility offers surgical suites with adjacent pre- and post-operative care areas to meet unique needs. Along with dedicated necropsy for a variety of animal models, we can also accommodate multiple stations and anesthesia hookups for physician training. We also provide dedicated necropsy.
